Indonesia: Jokowi releases 7 containers of Jambi areca nuts to Pakistan

Jambi, CNBC Indonesia - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today released the export of areca nuts to Pakistan. There are a total of seven containers of these products. "By saying bismillahirohmanirohim, today I declare that I have dispatched seven containers of areca nut commodities," Jokowi said on the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube video, Thursday (7/4/2022). Jokowi said that the total land planted with betel nut throughout Indonesia reached 152 thousand hectares, of which about 22 thousand hectares are in Jambi province. "This is an export commodity that is much needed in Thailand, Iran, India, China, Pakistan and we hope it will become an export commodity in large quantities," he said.
