The Michurin Garden will become a living "open-air laboratory" where advanced scientific solutions will be tested. Based on the Talgar regional branch of the Kazakh Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing in the village of Almalyk, the "Michurin Garden" has been opened—the first major project of the Kazakhstan-Russia Center for Advanced Technologies in the Agro-Industrial Complex. As informed by the Ministry of Agriculture, the project was implemented by the National Academy of Sciences of the RK and the Russian Academy of Sciences and is aimed at strengthening the scientific and educational potential of the agrarian sector, developing domestic breeding horticulture, and enhancing food security.
