The draft stipulates the introduction of quantity restriction (quota) measures for the export of beef (Eurasian Economic Union external economic activity commodity classification codes: 0201—fresh or chilled beef; 0202—frozen beef) from the Republic of Kazakhstan to third countries and Eurasian Economic Union member states, effective until December 31, 2025.
The draft will be open for public comment until October 22 of this year.
The draft is formulated based on the resolution of the Interdepartmental Commission on Foreign Trade Policy and Participation in International Economic Organizations dated August 29, 2025.
It is worth mentioning that the Minister of Trade had previously pointed out that neighboring countries continue to show strong demand for beef from Kazakhstan.
