Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin oversaw a government meeting to review the results of Kazakhstan's sugar beet harvest, which saw an average yield of 535.5 centners per hectare, resulting in a harvest of approximately 1.3 million tons. As of December 20, sugar factories had processed 988.6 thousand tons of root crops, with more awaiting processing. Farmers are expected to receive subsidies from both local authorities and the sugar factories.
