Kuzbass, a region known for its agricultural production, has seen significant international demand for its chocolate, flour and sugar confectionery, and sugar products. Exports of these items amounted to $138.3 million, with the majority going to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, China, the UK, USA, Norway, Serbia, and Germany. In addition to traditional exports like rapeseed, oats, and dried peas, this year saw the first exports of barley, buckwheat, millet, and flax seeds. To boost oilseed production, the region plans to provide subsidies to farmers by the end of the year.
