The Kenyan State Department, in partnership with the UN Economic Commission for Africa and the Government of Denmark, organized a two-day workshop in Nairobi to integrate a 'green supplement' into the national implementation strategy for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), with a particular focus on the coffee and tea value chains. This initiative aims to enhance trade alignment with global sustainability goals, create climate resilience, and promote sustainability. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to assess and validate strategies for promoting sustainable practices within these sectors, thereby supporting the growth of economies, enhancing environmental sustainability, and achieving the objectives of the AfCFTA.
