Khaki acreage in Uzbekistan triples

The total acreage of medium and large persimmon orchards in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan has increased from 604 hectares to 804 hectares in the last three years; that's an increase of 33%. More than 10 kaki varieties are grown in the Fergana region. The main regions for the cultivation of persimmons are Altyaryk, Kuva, Fergana and Besharyk. The Fergana region is one of the leaders in the export of persimmons from Uzbekistan. In 2021, it became the country's first region in terms of kaki exports.
