Khatlon, Tajikistan exported onions for almost $ 9 million

The largest volume of onions in the Republic of Tajikistan was exported in 11 months of 2020 by the Khatlon region. Farmers of this region have shipped 89.4 thousand tons of this product to different countries in total for $ 8.9 million, the press service of the Chairman of the Khatlon region reported. Export of onions from this region accounts for almost 84% of the total volume of agricultural products exported from the region - 106.8 thousand tons for a total amount of $ 11.4 million. A significant contribution to the production and export of onions from Khatlon region was made by cooperatives and farms of Jaihun districts , Shakhritus, Kumsangir, Vakhsh, Dusti, Kabadiyan.
