REPUBLICA.CO.ID, NGADA -- A total of 15 tons of Bajawa Arabica coffee from Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, has officially been exported to Thailand with a transaction value reaching Rp1.56 billion. Bajawa Arabica coffee has a strong distinctiveness thanks to a combination of geographical conditions, cultivation methods, and unique flavors. Grown on the highlands of Flores, specifically in Ngada Regency, this coffee thrives in fertile volcanic soil at an altitude of over 1,300 meters above sea level. The cool microclimate and the mineral-rich soil provide natural nutrients for the coffee plants, resulting in the best quality coffee beans. Agricultural practices that are mostly organic, without the use of chemical fertilizers, are also key to maintaining the authenticity of the flavor and environmental sustainability.
