New Zealand has successfully secured market access for blueberry exports to Korea, potentially generating an annual revenue of NZ$5 million (US$3.15m). This breakthrough, announced by Todd McClay, the minister for trade and agriculture, marks the conclusion of long-standing negotiations and is part of New Zealand's strategy to increase the trade value of its safe and high-quality produce. The country's Ministry for Primary Industries will now implement necessary compliance measures to allow blueberry shipments to Korea as soon as this season. This achievement follows a successful removal of non-tariff barriers and is expected to contribute to the government's goal of doubling exports by value within the next ten years.
