The Korea Hanwoo Beef Council (Chairperson Min Gyeong-cheon) announced the results of a study commissioned to Chungbuk National University's Industry-Academic Cooperation Group (Lead Researcher Professor Choi Sung-ho), confirming that consuming high-fat Hanwoo beef with high oleic acid content has a positive effect on reducing body fat and improving cardiovascular health.
The study was composed of clinical trials, animal experiments, literature reviews, and consumer perception surveys, comprehensively evaluating the impact of a 24-week carbohydrate-restricted diet and high-fat Hanwoo beef intake on human health indicators.
The clinical experiment was conducted over 24 weeks targeting obese risk groups aged 40-64.
