The 16th Korea-China-Japan Private Fisheries Council, which was held on Yeongjong Island in Incheon Metropolitan City, saw representatives from the three countries' private fisheries organizations agreeing to cooperate to restore squid resources due to their rapid decline. The meeting also focused on discussions related to safe fishing operations, management of marine fisheries resources, and private fishing exchanges and cooperation among the three countries, alongside a seminar on the impact of climate change on Northeast Asian fisheries and countermeasures. The next meeting is scheduled to be held in Japan in 2025.
