REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Chairman of the National Leading Fishermen's Farmers Contact (KTNA) Yadi Sofyan Noor emphasized that the regeneration of farmers and the strengthening of food brigades dominated by the millennial generation are key to maintaining the sustainability of rice self-sufficiency that Indonesia has currently achieved. “The key lies in human resources. We must quickly carry out regeneration. Rice farmers are now on average over 50 years old. Millennial young farmers are still rare in entering the rice sector,” said Sofyan when confirmed in Jakarta, Saturday (27/12/2025).
