Dragon fruit cultivation in Kutai Kertanegara has revived after a disease, covering 152.25 hectares and producing 703.6 tons. The Minister of Agriculture has focused on increasing production through sustainable practices and cultivation of fruit types that are marketable, both domestically and internationally. The region's dragon fruit is unique due to its year-round harvesting and the use of strong ironwood stakes. Full sun exposure or additional lighting is required for the plants to grow, and the peak harvest season is from April to August.
