Kyrgyzstan extended the zero VAT rate on imports of barley and animal feed

The Government of Kyrgyzstan has extended the zero VAT rate on the import of some fodder crops and feed for farm animals until the end of 2024. This is stated in the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 718 dated December 28, 2023 “On amendments to some decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of food supply security of the country and stabilization of market prices”, published on the government portal. According to the document, throughout the year there will be zero VAT on imports into the Kyrgyz Republic of barley, oats, bran, flour from seeds or fruits of oilseeds (except mustard seeds), residues from the production of starch, beet pulp and other waste from sugar production, oilseed cake and other products used for feeding farm animals.
