The Coordinator of Farmers and Livestock Organizations (COAG) is advocating for immediate measures against Moroccan imports, emphasizing the need for a revision of the EU-Morocco preferential agreement and stricter controls on labeling within the EU. This action is in response to the EU Attorney General's opinion, which aligns with COAG's stance that the agreement infringes upon EU consumer rights and labeling laws by mislabeling products from Western Sahara as Moroccan, thus deceiving European consumers. COAG, in partnership with the Confédération Paysanne, is pushing for transparent labeling to eliminate unfair competition and safeguard EU consumers.
