Labor Certificate for Agroexportation: Mechanism to reduce informality and comply with the USMCA Certificado Laboral para Agroexportación: Mecanismo para abatir informalidad y cumplir con el T-MEC Este certificado es una herramienta esencial para las empresas que operan en el sector agroexportador, ya que les permite cumplir con las nuevas regulaciones establecidas en el Tratado entre México, Estados Unidos y Canadá (T-MEC). Con este certificado, las empresas pueden demostrar que están cumpliendo con las normas laborales y que están contribuyendo a reducir la informalidad en el sector. El costo de obtener este certificado es de $1,200 MXN por trabajador, y se estima que alrededor del 30% de las empresas en este sector ya han obtenido el certificado. Además, el certificado también ayuda a las empresas a mejorar su reputación y a tener acceso a mejores condiciones comerciales en el mercado internacional.

The head of the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare, Marath Bolaños López, presented to the Commission of Labor and Social Welfare of the Chamber of Deputies an initiative to reform various legal provisions with the objective of establishing the Labor Certificate for Agroexportation, with this, the aim is to reduce the informality rate in the agri-food sector, which currently stands at 87.2 percent. The legislative proposal contemplates modifications to the Federal Labor Law, the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration, and the Foreign Trade Law.
