Since 1992, through the Agency of Agricultural Properties and now the National Center for Agricultural Support, over 62.1 thousand hectares of land have been transferred to them – effectively supporting the development of cities and villages across Poland. Free land transfers – alongside sales – are considered forms of permanent disposal. Since 1992, from the beginning of the former Agency of Agricultural Properties – now the National Center for Agricultural Support – until the end of September 2025, nearly 700 thousand hectares of land from the Resource have been transferred free of charge to authorized entities. The largest share – over 157.3 thousand hectares – went to State Forests, local governments received 62.1 thousand hectares, and other authorized entities (National Forest Holding, national parks, the Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Promotion Institute, foundations and public benefit organizations, church legal entities) received 342.9 thousand hectares.
