Last week, Russia saw an increase in wholesale prices for beef and poultry

Last week, from November 18 to 24, wholesale prices for beef and chicken meat continued to rise in Russia. This was reported in a review by the analytical company IMIT. Chicken meat increased in price the most over the week – by 1.1%. In particular, the cost of chicken cutting increased by 1.3 and by-products by 0.7. At the same time, the average price in the country increased by 1.9 percent over the week to 174.4 rubles per kilogram. But the most noticeable increase in poultry prices is observed for broiler carcasses. On average, wholesale prices for it in the country increased by another 1.9 percent over the week to 174.4 rubles per kilogram. The cost of beef half carcasses increased slightly less over the last week in wholesale – by 1% to 420.5 rubles/kg. Prices for beef and by-products increased by 0.9 percent.
