Last week, Russia experienced a surge in wholesale prices for both beef and chicken meat, with chicken prices increasing by 1.1% and beef by 1%, according to IMIT analytical company. The most significant price hike was seen in chicken cutting and broiler carcasses, which increased by 1.3% and 1.9% respectively, driving the average chicken price up by 1.9% to 174.4 rubles per kilogram. Beef half carcasses also saw a slight increase of 1% to 420.5 rubles/kg, with pure beef and offal becoming even more expensive by 3.6%. In contrast, pork products have stopped increasing in price, with slaughter-grade pigs and pork half-carcasses becoming cheaper in the Central Region.
