In 2020, Ukraine made significant progress in expanding its agricultural market reach and improving export certificates and audit passings, as reported by Vladislava Magaletskaya, head of the State Food and Consumer Service. The country opened 12 new markets for its products, obtained 35 export certificates, and passed two EU audits. Ukraine is working towards opening 100 new markets across six continents, including traditional partners and less developed markets. Additionally, international agreements on sanitary, phytosanitary measures, and consumer protection are being negotiated with several countries. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is also preparing to sign an agreement with Northern Macedonia on quarantine and plant protection.
