Icheon City's 'Janghowon Hwangdo' is counted among the best peaches in the nation. Icheon is the region where the 'Mibakdo' and 'Janghowon Hwangdo' varieties originated, and among these, the 'Janghowon Hwangdo', which boasts the best taste, is in season from early September to early October, characterized by its low acidity, high sugar content, and rich aroma. The 'Janghowon Hwangdo' was discovered as a mutation of the 'Elberta' variety, which farmer Choi Sang-yong brought from Japan in 1963, in the Janghowon region.
