Lifetime production of Netherland cows rises to record level

This is apparent from the annual statistics of the milk production registration (mpr) of the cooperative CRV. The figures for the financial year from September 2021 to September 2022 were published on 12 October. The cows that were removed from the Dutch dairy farms produced an average of 37,401 kilos of milk with 4.37 percent fat and 3.57 percent protein in their lifetime. This means that the production of fat and protein is 145 kilos higher than last year and with 2,971 kilos the milestone of 3,000 kilos is approached. The higher lifetime production is partly due to a 53 days longer lifetime. In addition, the Dutch cows removed produced an average of 300 grams more milk per milking day, this year an average of 29.3 kilos.
