The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) launched its productive activities for 2026 in the province of Mariscal Ramón Castilla, Loreto region, to benefit more than 1500 families with sustainable alternatives linked to cocoa, fariña, poultry farming, and aquaculture. The intervention, in charge of the Coordination Office of Caballo Cocha, seeks to strengthen legal economies in coca influence zones and to disconnect more families in vulnerable situations from illicit activities. In the agricultural activity, Devida will attend to 1162 families from the districts of Pebas, San Pablo, Ramón Castilla, and Yavarí. Of this total, 868 families will work on cocoa cultivation in 900 hectares, while 294 families will promote the planting of cassava for the production of fariña.
