Love for Farmers' Rights, Kimchi-making for Migrant and Multicultural Families

To ensure a warm winter for the marginalized neighbors, public institutions in Naju region joined forces for a service activity. The National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, the Korea Internet Promotion Agency (KISA), and the Naju Family Center organized a 'Love Kimchi Sharing Event' for immigrants and multicultural vulnerable families in Naju, Jeonnam. This event was arranged to solve the problem of lack of winter food for multicultural families and immigrant workers residing in Naju city, and to spread the culture of sharing in the local community. In particular, employees of the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences and KISA, along with a volunteer cooking team of married immigrant women, participated in all processes of making kimchi, adding meaning to the sharing.
