Spaniards have spent 2.85 million euros on low-alcohol wine in twelve months, 35% more than a year earlier; while the consumption of "zero" beer also continues to rise, with an increase of 6.3% and a total of 252 million euros. This is according to data provided by the consulting firm Circana, relating to the rolling year from October 2025 to November 2024, compared to the previous year, and in supermarket consumption. With these figures on the table, World No Alcohol Day is celebrated this Saturday, an initiative launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness among the population about the consumption of this substance. In the case of wine, the volume increase in the analyzed period was 27.4%, reaching a sales volume of 345,086 liters. If the comparison is extended to three years, the trend in the consumption of this type of beverage is more clearly seen, as since 2022, spending has grown by 66.6% in value.
