Peruvian lucuma exports experienced a significant surge in 2024, with a 45.2% increase in volume reaching 704.2 tons. The main varieties, Silk and Palo, were used mainly for frozen pulp, flour, and other presentations. The exporting companies included Unión de Negocios Corporativos, Peruvian Nature S&S S.A.C, and Nith'os Company S.A.C. The fruit was exported to 24 countries, with Chile and the United States being the primary recipients. Despite this growth, the lucuma industry faces challenges such as lack of technology, financing, and adequate access roads, particularly for small farmers and family agriculture.
