Maersk announced new investments in two strategic inland container depots in Rio Grande (Rio Grande do Sul) and Paranaguá (State of Paraná), expanding its logistics network in southern Brazil. The developments respond to the growth in demand for integrated end-to-end solutions and reinforce the company's long-term commitment to Brazil's role in South American trade flows. Rio Grande and Paranaguá were selected for their location in high-volume export corridors and their proximity to major production centers. Both sites are close to their respective ports and have direct road access to regional distribution hubs, which allows for faster container rotation, improved efficiency in land transport, and a reduction in bottlenecks during seasonal peaks. The facilities also strengthen connectivity between ports, domestic markets, and cross-border flows within South America.
