Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu has reassured the public that the domestic chicken supply will not be affected by the bird flu outbreak in the US and Europe. Despite no reported cases in Malaysia, the ministry is closely monitoring the situation. The country's chicken supply is currently stable, and a recovery in the supply of chickens and eggs is underway, albeit slowly. Sabu also mentioned that subsidies for chicken breeders are under review and an announcement is imminent.
