PANCHAGARH, Sept 01.2020(BSS)- The cultivation of sweet orange more known as malta started gaining popularity among the farmers in the district. Boda upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Al-Mamun Rashid said the agriculture department has taken up massive malta cultivation programme like lemon crops extension , management and more production project . “Under the project , the agriculture department distributed malta saplings, compost and chemical fertilizers , spray machine and cash among the 100 farmers for creating new malta orchard on five to 100 decimal of land respectively at a free of cost this season .
