The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) of Brazil is focused on expanding agricultural markets, promoting exports, and enhancing the global image of Brazilian agriculture. With attachés in key countries and an active international schedule, the ministry has successfully entered over 200 markets in 56 countries, covering 61% of these markets. The attachés play a crucial role in identifying commercial opportunities, attracting foreign investment, and promoting cooperation. Their efforts have led to the opening of 10 new markets in the first quarter of 2023 and a significant 4.4% increase in agricultural exports, reaching US$ 20.10 billion in the first two months of the year.
