The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Brazil has permitted Sisbi-POA establishments in Rio Grande do Sul to process raw materials from other establishments for product manufacturing on a temporary basis. This move aims to support the animal products sector and ensure food supply to the state's population, as it allows products slaughtered in municipalities without Sisbi-POA to be processed and labeled with the Sisbi seal, indicating quality. These establishments must maintain hygienic and sanitary conditions, control raw materials, and maintain traceability and production. Sisbi-POA is a system that unifies and harmonizes inspection procedures for animal products across Brazil, with services equal to the Federal Inspection Service available for states, the Federal District, and municipalities.
