The global dairy market has been experiencing an imbalance in supply and demand, leading to a surplus of raw milk that needs to be transformed into exchange positions. Cheese production has increased in export-oriented countries, resulting in a higher supply of whey. However, the demand from China, the main consumer market for whey, has dropped, contributing to the downward trend in prices. Despite China's return to the market, Ukraine has been unable to increase its whey exports significantly due to pricing challenges and expensive logistics.
