Marketing and promoting Vietnamese bird's nest in the Chinese market

According to Mr. Le Thanh Dai, Chairman of the Vietnam Bird's Nest Association, China is the largest bird's nest consumer market, accounting for 80% of the world's consumption. As the largest consumer, China is also the world's largest bird's nest importer and the import volume is increasing. Mr. Hong Dinh Khoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vietnam Quoc Yen Joint Stock Company, said that in 2023, China imported 557 tons of bird's nest, an increase of 23.4% compared to 2022. In the first quarter of 2024, China imported 145 tons of bird's nest, equal to nearly 30% of the bird's nest imported in the whole year of 2023.
