Markets for main sugar import countries from January to August 2025

According to statistics from China's customs, in August, China's sugar imports amounted to 360 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 7.0% year-on-year; the import volume was 825,100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%. In the first eight months, China's cumulative sugar imports totaled 1.19 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 14.2% year-on-year; the import volume was 2,607,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.
