In 2023, Spain's meat production experienced a 1.98% decline, totaling 7.42 million tons compared to the previous year's 7.57 million tons. This decrease was observed across all categories, except for poultry, which saw a 5.25% increase to 1.72 million tons. Despite a 3.49% drop, pork continued to be the primary meat produced at 4.85 million tons. Notably, sheep/goat meat production saw a significant reduction, and beef production also fell by 5.3% to 694,869 tons.
