Santa Catarina government in Brazil will release R$ 10 million for winter cereal planting

São Paulo, 03/07/2022 - The Secretary of Agriculture of Santa Catarina will release R$ 10 million for planting more than 20 thousand hectares of wheat, triticale, oats and rye destined for the manufacture of animal feed and silage production. The action is part of the Terra Boa Program and aims to serve poultry and swine producers. "We cannot totally depend on corn for the manufacture of feed or silage production," Secretary Altair Silva said in a statement. With Terra Boa, the Secretary of Agriculture will grant a subsidy of R$ 300.00 per hectare effectively planted with winter cereals, within a limit of 10 hectares per producer.
