In April, Turkish exports saw a significant increase of 94 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching a value of $ 1.31 billion, as reported by Nejdat Sin, Coordinator Chairman of the Mediterranean Exporters' Associations (AKIB). This surge was evident across various markets and product categories. The Chemicals and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association saw the highest increase, with a 109 percent rise, followed by the Association of Exporters of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals, which increased by 122 percent. The Association of Grains, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters also experienced a notable increase of 41 percent in fresh fruit and vegetable exports. The Netherlands, Iraq, and Spain were the top destinations for these exports, with significant growth also observed in markets such as Nigeria, Lebanon, and Morocco.
