Turkey: Melon and watermelon harvest continues in Yozgat

In Yozgat's Yerköy district, the harvest of watermelons and melons, which grow late compared to many regions of Turkey due to the climate, continues. The harvest of melons and watermelons, especially those completed in Adana and Samsun's Bafra districts, started in the Sekili village of Yozgat's Yerköy district. The products collected during the harvest, which started late due to the climate, are sent to many provinces of the country. With its taste and aroma, the melon grown in the Bafra district of Adana and Samsun is sold in the field for 7-7.5 liras per kilogram, while the watermelon is sold for 8-8.5 liras per kilogram.
