REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The government will take action against 2,039 fertilizer stalls proven to be selling subsidized fertilizer above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP), with the total potential loss for farmers reaching approximately Rp 600 billion per year. This decisive step is taken as a form of the government's commitment to protect farmers from fraudulent practices in the distribution of subsidized fertilizer. “Today we announce, the licenses of these 2,039 stalls will be revoked. This must not happen. This kind of game has been going on for a long time, at least over the past year.
