Mentan: Indonesian Fertilizer Officials Who Do Not Seriously Handle Permits Will Be Dismissed

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman urged the board of directors of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) to evaluate the performance of all managers and general managers in the field. He emphasized that if any were found not to be serious in handling the revocation of licenses for unscrupulous distributors and retailers, then the relevant officials should be dismissed. Amran emphasized that this step is a follow-up to the revocation of 190 licenses of subsidized fertilizer distributors and retailers who did not comply with the policy of reducing prices by 20 percent.
