Mercosur Shift: Argentina Exits, Brazil Enters as Supplier of Poultry Products to Chile

The Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) temporarily suspended imports of poultry products from Argentina after the Senasa reported the detection of a highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in a commercial egg production facility located in Los Toldos, Buenos Aires province. “Exports with production dates up until August 4, 2025, will be accepted. However, products with production dates from August 5, 2025, onwards will not be allowed to enter Chile,” the SAG stated.
