The Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) temporarily suspended imports of poultry products from Argentina after the Senasa reported the detection of a highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak in a commercial egg production facility located in Los Toldos, Buenos Aires province.
"Exports with production dates up until August 4, 2025, will be accepted. However, products with production dates from August 5, 2025, onwards will not be allowed to enter Chile," the SAG stated.
Simultaneously, the SAG announced that, following the publication of Brazil's recognition as a country free of HPAI in that country's Official Journal, imports of Brazilian poultry products resumed after the outbreak in a commercial poultry farm in the municipality of Montenegro (Rio Grande do Sul) that forced the closure of this market on May 16 last.
