Mexico's agri-food and fishing exports to China have seen a 16.4% increase in the first half of the year, totaling $399 million. This includes a 9.0% increase in pork exports, a 70% increase in fishmeal exports, and a 164% increase in avocado exports from Michoacán. The General Administration of Customs of China is currently updating the protocol to include pork viscera and is negotiating the inclusion of two additional fishmeal companies and a new zoosanitary certificate for export. Other products with high demand in the Chinese market include lobster and shellfish.
