Mexico: Blueberry production continues to grow in El Fuerte

Los Mochis, Sin.– Blueberry production began in El Fuerte in 2010, and to date the agricultural lands of this municipality have accepted the fruit very well. Currently, more communities have joined their cultivation, and for this reason Sinaloa exports the product to the United States, Canada and other countries of the world. Mayor Gildardo Leyva Ortega recalled that when the crop diversification project began, blueberries were only planted on farms in the Boca de Arroyo community, but over the years, producers have confirmed that their acceptance in the region was a great success and allowed the economic detonation of El Fuerte.
