Mexicans consume an average of 700 grams of chocolate per person each year, with consumption increasing by up to 20% during celebrations. The Por Amor al Cacao initiative has invested 17 million pesos over the past 10 years in renewing cocoa farms and supporting cocoa farmers in Mexico. They aim to improve productivity, prevent deforestation, and ensure a sustainable supply chain for cocoa by 2025 with an investment of 1 billion dollars.
