Mexico: Michoacán government supports certification of lemon production

The Government of Michoacán will support and strengthen the scheme for the formalization and certification of lemon production, the same entity reported. Following up on the work with producers in the Tierra Caliente region, state, federal and municipal officials held a meeting to advance in the creation of a scheme that seeks regulatory improvement of the Mexican Lemon Product System. Carlos Torres Piña, Secretary of Government, together with the Secretaries of Public Security, Juan Carlos Oseguera and Agriculture and Rural Development, Cuauhtémoc Ramírez Romero, presented the schemes of attention to producers, packers and merchants of citrus.
