Mexico has extended a tax benefit, known as the Package Against Inflation and Carousel (Pacic), which exempts tariffs on essential food items like meat, milk, rice, and beans, until December 31, 2025. This move is crucial for the continuity of Brazilian food exports to Mexico, given the country's dependency on these products. The renewal of the Pacic has contributed to Mexico becoming Brazil's largest agricultural trading partner in Latin America, with significant growth in exports since its implementation in May 2022. The extension is expected to strengthen the flow of poultry and pork exports to Mexico in 2025, as Mexico remains a key market for Brazilian chicken and pork.
