Midagri delivered 3,080 sheds to protect more than 369,000 alpacas and sheep in Peru

In compliance with the goals established in the Multisectoral Plan against Frost and Cold 2024, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) delivered 3,080 sheds in high Andean areas of 15 regions of Peru. These interventions were carried out by the AgroRural Program, who with the implementation of these livestock protection modules managed to shelter and protect more than 369,000 alpacas and sheep in 158 districts. «Today, more than ever, we must be aware of the need to protect our animals, which are the livelihood of thousands of families in this region. These sheds are not only physical structures, but symbols of our commitment to the sustainable development of the sector,» said the head of Midagri, Ángel Manero.
