The article reports on the milk production and related product trends in various countries from January-August 2020, excluding Russia. Belarus led with the fastest growth in raw milk production at +5.3%. Other countries experiencing growth in milk production include Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, while Ukraine saw a decrease. Butter production was on the rise in all countries, except for Ukraine which experienced a 3% decrease. The total oil production volume increased by 6% amounting to 316 thousand tons. The production of whole milk products experienced mixed results, with increases in countries like Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan, and decreases in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine.
