Bakyt Torobaev, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, has inaugurated mini-workshops for apricot kernel oil production in Batken and Issyk-Kul regions. This initiative is designed to bolster local agriculture by providing gardeners and farmers with apricot cultivation and care training, alongside assistance in establishing small processing units. The introduction of processing equipment aims to improve local incomes, food security, and productivity by enhancing the processing and drying of apricots and producing oil. This move is anticipated to increase the production and export of high-quality apricots and their processed derivatives, supporting the local economy.
