Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Bekir Pakdemirli, announced a trade surplus of 14 billion dollars over the past 19 years in wheat and related products. The country is taking steps to support farmers affected by drought and increasing state support for crop insurance. In response to global epidemics and local drought, which affected grain production, the government bought grain from farmers to stabilize the feed market and prevent increased production costs. This action also ensured the availability of raw materials for the feed market. Additionally, the government sold over 1 million tons of bread wheat to maintain stability in the flour market, benefiting around 350 companies.
